Came here for my daughter's birthday. This is a modern twist on the Dim Sum idea with an and digital menu to order everything . The food was pretty good, not the best dim sum ever but a fun place .

I came here with my parents (60-66 yrs old) who used to run a Chinese restaurant, and this place got their approval! We came on a Tuesday around 4 pm and there were plenty of tables open. The prices are a bit high, but all of the meat in the dim sum in generously sized for overall still worth the price. The only negative comment I have is that we were a bit suspicious about a dark spot on a siu mai, but they said it was part of a mushroom and immediately replaced the dish anyways

I love coming here because it's simple and fast and GIANT portions. It's not your typical dim Sum spot where people are walking around with carts of goodies. However, it's a fast and easy process for ordering just via a QR code. The quality of each dish is supreme and it's easy to over order bc the portion sizes are so filling. The restaurant is also nice and open with plenty of seats so turnover is pretty quick. Before you go, check their waitlist online and get on it so you can plan to arrive accordingly.

Pros: Fresh food, great taste, and nice hostess. The best tasting Dim sum and I have been to a lot of them in SGV. Cons: Long wait to get in. Sometimes they run out of egg tarts or their egg tart machine is down. As you can see, I love their egg tarts.

Great meal! We had the green beans, pork XL shomai, crispy shrimp, crispy shrimp rice, and crab steam buns. We really enjoyed the green beans, shomai with chili oil, and crispy beans. the service was good, we joined the yelp waitlist before arriving and were able to get seated right away. ambiance was relaxed, a place to come in a group or more intimate

We went in the evening to the Pasadena Lunasia location as, through research, we learned that this was the only dim sum location that offered dim sum in the evening. I'm not able to validate that as being fact but we did go at 7:00 pm and were able to order a wide assortment of dim sum. Highly recommend. It was outstanding.

This is place is all that and dim sum. Food Sponge cake is the same as the square shape! Cute and fluffy. Not too sweet. Turnip cake is perfectly tender and crisp on the outside! Plump as well! The rice roll with beef is so good, highly recommend. I want to order two of these! The pork siao mai is plump and juicy. Recommend drinking tea to pair with all this dim sum. Parking It's pretty convenient with a covered parking lot next to it. We went at an odd time so there was no wait. They do waitlist!

It's hard to find a good Dim Sum restaurant. We love Din Tai Fung but we consider DTF to be more of a dumpling house versus a dim sum restaurant. My son had been to Lunasua previously and thought we would enjoy the dim sum. We were in SoCal to celebrate his birthday and had him choose a restaurant. There are several Lunasia restaurants and my son chose the one in Pasadena. The restaurant doesn't have parking and street parking is hard to find. We found a reasonable priced parking lot about a 5 minute walk away. We were hoping that it would be slow if we went at 2:30 pm on a Sunday. The wait was about 45 minutes for a party of four which gave us time to walk around the area and visit a French bakery a couple of doors over. Once we sat then, the service was quick. You fill out an order sheet, they print out the order and post it on the wall next to your table so they can cross off the items as they are served. Service is quick. We ordered Sui Mai, Har Gow, Fried Rice with Chicken, Gai Lan, Broccoli with garlic, pan fried potstickers, steamed pork buns, mixed pork puff and tea. The sui mai are bigger than other dim sum restaurants, har gow was fresh with large shrimp, XLB was juicy and flavorful, fried rice was flavorful, the gai lan was a bit bitter, the broccoli paired well with the garlic, potstickers were crispy, pork buns were tasty and the pork puffs were fried nicely and tasty. Overall, very fresh, flavorful and cooked right dim sum. The downside is the $2 per person for tea and a minimum mandatory 18% gratutity. We will definitely be back for the dim sum. Best time to go is after lunch and closer to dinner, around 4 pm seems to be the slowest time with no wait.
